From the Archives: Ypsilanti's Wuerth Theater played unique role in vaudeville
Around Halloween in 1920, the big news in town was that Ypsilanti was getting a new entertainment hotspot. The onetime Opera House at 226 West Michigan Avenue had been destroyed by a cyclone in 1893 and rebuilt in 1896. The facility, eventually renamed the Forum Theater, had become run-down by 1920.
